││ What's Up With Renaissance ││
└┴────────────────────────────┴┘
I'm just writing this little text file to let everybody know
what's up with Renaissance these days. I'll try to be brief, but then
again, you know me...
To all those lamers with no life who are going around saying
Renaissance is dead (you know who you are), you are about to be
corrected. We have all been very busy lately and have not had much time
at all for the demo scene. It is very difficult to code demos, go to
school, play in a band, and run a busy BBS all at the same time. For
this reason, things have been a little slow lately. While we did have a
music disk planned a while back, it has been postponed due to the fact
that CyberStrike (a former member) screwed us over bigtime with the
music drivers which were being used in the music disk (thanks alot
Josh!). StarScream's music driver still needs some tune-ups for use in
the music disk, so he is going to work on them now that this tracker is
out of the way. I don't want to set myself on a release date, so all I
will say is that it will be out sooner or later. We may do an intro or a
small demo before the music disk, but that is yet to be seen.
I also want to take the time out to thank all those who have
kept up faith in us even though the lamers continue to spread false and
useless information about the group. There is nothing in the world I
like better than making a cool demo for people to enjoy, but there are
times when I have to do what is best for me first. Demos and group
releases can't always be on top of my priority list.
Another thanks goes to my fellow group members for sticking with
the group and not quitting. I especially thank the artists for all their
great artwork, even though I am sorry I did not get to use it all yet.
Ryan Cramer and C.C.Catch deserve great thanks as well for being such
cool guys when it came to music for the music disk. And I must say hi to
Tran too... The guy who STILL has no life even when the group isn't in
his way :)
Well, I can see this thing is already starting to get too long
just like most of my text files and messages so I am going to finish up
soon. Just hang in there everybody. I can't promise anything fantastic
right now, but Renaissance is far from being dead. We may be busy with
other things right now, but we have not forgotten the dedicated fans and
the rest of the PC demo scene. Think "Assembly '94"! Later...
